Heaven's Reward

April 29, 2018

I recently read a quote that really spoke to my heart: "I'd rather be known as a 'Jesus freak' here on earth, instead of meeting Jesus and hearing 'Depart from me, I never knew you.'"

I know sometimes I'm pretty hesitant with my faith because I don't wanna come off as "too much" or "too strong". I give God "this" aspect of my life, but don't allow Him to touch "that". When in reality our days here are numbered but the time with our Savior is forever, and every day we're given the opportunity to point it back to Him.

So if I have extra money to spend, am I using it to gift myself or is the Holy Spirit asking me to bless someone else?
Am I taking the time to share His Word to those who need it, or am I being careful to "not step on anyone toes"?

This isn't to make anyone feel guilty, because these are issues I obviously struggle with. And Lord knows I'm not perfect, and most days I'm like "Are you sureeeee you wanna use me?" But that's just the thing, the little calling or that nudge we feel in our hearts is not something that should be wasted. And when we constantly remember what He did for us on the cross, there's so much freedom in surrendering it all to Him. You see, we may not get everything we want here on this earth if we do things His way, but thats okay because oh my goodness, the heavenly reward that's waiting for us is what this life is all about.
