But let's challenge that real quick...
So you know that one thing you've been praying for? Think about that ONE THING that's been on your heart. Well, what if God never gave it to you, how would it make you feel? Would you still choose to follow Him? And if so, would not having this one thing affect your relationship with our Savior?
This morning I read a pretty impactful passage about three men who were standing face to face with death, about to be thrown into a fiery furnace and pretty much said "Our God will rescue us from this...But even if He doesn't, we will still serve Him. We are still His." (Daniel 3:16-18)
And as I kept reading I couldn't help but think wow wow wow. WHAT FAITH. The type of faith that can look at our trials and say, EVEN if God doesn't bless me with what I want, I will still choose each and every moment to seek + love Him.
I think sometimes in our walk with God we only follow or are moved by Him to a certain extent without realizing. He pours these blessings on us and we're so grateful, we're praising, we're sharing how great our God is. But what happens when we're standing face to face with fire...when we start to feel uncomfortable and anxious because we wonder if God is gonna give us what we want to get us out of the situation. Do we start to drift away to save ourselves? Or do we say, even if this hurts Lord, I will still serve YOU.
I totally encourage y'all to read the rest of that chapter, because what happens is truly amazing. And I pray you're inspired by the type of faith that means even if we get nothing from this world, He is still so good because we already have eternity with Him.
